Most corporate relocations are supported within a defined service window beginning at employee intake. Executive relocations may include an extended timeframe and additional post-move support.
If an employee requires support beyond the initial relocation period (for example, extended temporary housing or delayed purchase timelines), ongoing support may be available.
Real Estate Representation Is Separate
Utah Relocations provides relocation coordination and concierge services as a standalone offering.
Because we are also a licensed real estate brokerage in Utah, employees who choose to buy or sell a home can work with our licensed agents under a separate written real estate brokerage agreement, in compliance with Utah law.
Relocation services are not contingent upon the purchase or sale of real property.

Are relocation fees tied to the purchase or sale of a home?
No. Relocation fees are not contingent upon real estate transactions and are not credited toward commissions unless explicitly stated in writing.
Can we use our own preferred vendors or moving companies?
Yes. We are happy to coordinate with employer-preferred vendors or integrate them into the relocation plan. We can also recommend trusted local vendors when needed.
Do you offer temporary or executive housing assistance?
Yes. We assist with identifying and coordinating temporary housing, executive rentals, and short-term accommodations based on availability and employer preferences.
What happens if an employee’s relocation timeline changes?
Relocation timelines change frequently. Our programs are designed to be flexible, and we communicate proactively with both the employee and employer if adjustments are needed.
Can relocation support continue after the employee has moved?
Yes. Post-move support and ongoing concierge services may be available for employees who need additional assistance settling in, depending on the relocation program.
How is billing handled?
We offer employer invoicing options and clear billing structures. Relocation programs are typically billed per employee, with options for extensions or partnership arrangements if applicable. ACH payments are preferred. If your company prefers to pay by credit/debit card please know that a 3% surcharge applies to cover card transaction fees.
A 50% deposit is required upon commencing relocation services for each employee.

What if our company only needs help with buying or selling real estate and not a full relocation package?
Yes, absolutely.
Utah Relocations is a licensed real estate brokerage in the State of Utah, and we regularly assist companies and employees with real estate transactions only, without a separate relocation package.
In these cases, we simply enter into a standard real estate agency representation agreement with the buyer or seller, in accordance with Utah law.
Relocation services are optional and only provided when requested.
Can real estate services be provided independently from relocation services?
Yes.
Real estate representation and relocation services are separate offerings. A client or employer may choose one without the other.

This separation ensures clarity, compliance, and flexibility for employers and employees.
What should we expect for real estate agency fees?
Real estate commissions in Utah are customarily 6% of the final sales price, unless otherwise negotiated.
This commission is typically:

3% paid to the listing (selling) agent, and
-
3% paid to the buyer’s agent
In addition, there is a $295 administrative fee, which covers transaction processing, compliance, and brokerage services.
All fees are clearly outlined in the real estate agency agreement prior to moving forward.
Who pays the real estate commission?
In most residential transactions, the seller pays the real estate commission at closing.
However, commission structures can vary depending on the transaction and are always fully disclosed and agreed upon in writing.
Can the employer pay the real estate fees on behalf of the employee?
Yes, in some cases employers choose to cover or reimburse certain real estate-related costs as part of an employee relocation benefit.
This is handled directly between the employer and employee and coordinated through the closing process when applicable.
Do relocation fees apply toward real estate commissions?
No.
Relocation service fees and real estate commissions are separate and independent unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
